The subject, and work, of parenting remains relevant like few other topics. There is no How To Manual, and kids never stay at the same level. Parenting is a verb; it requires constant energy and attention.
Think about this Parenting Tune-up like a systems check. A car has multiple systems. A typical tune-up looks at the battery and brakes and transmission and tires and spark plugs and fluids. All the systems need to work together, but maybe only one part needs repair at a particular time. Being low on oil doesn’t mean the car is totaled. That said, if you never add oil then it won’t matter how new the windshield wipers are.
There’s another applicable part of the tune-up analogy. Time passing does not fix most problems. Ignoring a warning light until the bulb burns out is a strategy, and it’s stupid.
So we’ll have a “Parenting Tune-Up” day on February 15, 2026. Parenting will be the thread throughout the morning liturgy and the explicit subject of the sermon. We’ll also have some additional systems-checks sessions after a provided lunch.
There is NO COST, and you do NOT need to be a parent to attend.
